Large Chemical Company is seeking a Business Unit Director for its Film & Rigid Packaging business unit. This will be a remote position with travel to sites and customers with ownership of the Film & Rigid Packaging business, customers and commercial team, including management of
the team, sales and margin for the Film & Rigid Packaging business.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the Film and Rigid Packaging business for all applications. Manage a team of sales engineers and marketing professionals as part of a market facing organization for these products and applications.
· Own customer facing part of organization for Film & Rigid Packaging applications, driving programs to deliver growth in sales and margins. Work with customers to support the creation of new business and protect the existing business. Understand the drivers for new and existing business. Work with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, technology and other teams to drive business growth.
· Business requires management of a multitude of complex concepts and business situations, requiring high level involvement from internal stakeholders with key top leadership at a large array of customers.
· Able to develop and present strategic plans, investment plans at executive leadership team and board level meetings. Capable of collaborating as well as challenging board management team members. Provides guidance to leadership with positive and negative news regarding specific business and customer situations.
· Strong financial, business and marketing acumen to provide direction to various roles within the organization. Able to digest financial information related to business performance and make fast decisions about policies, customer strategies and internal activities to support positive outcomes.
Requirements:
· Minimum 10 years' experience in the plastics business, preferably in Film & Rigid Packaging markets.
· Bachelor's degree in business, sciences, MBA preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years in customer facing roles.
· Ability to manage, lead and develop a commercial team.
· Film and Rigid Packaging technology, applications and drivers of value.
· Expert in sales processes, negotiations, value propositions; Able to lead marketing individuals with mid- and long-term development projects.
· Understanding of financial drivers for the P&L, balance sheet for a business.
· Internal collaboration and leadership to gain buy-in from internal stakeholders.
The salary range for this position is $170K and up, dependent upon previous experience, plus bonus, and a great benefits program that is too long to list.

The desired candidate will manage highly complex accounts, with multiple locations and functions that require the coordination of various company resources to achieve maximum growth of sales and profits.
Responsibilities:
· Engages customers at multiple levels, from procurement to technical to mid-level executives and senior executives
· Pursue partnerships that will drive growth
· Develop applications into the market by ensuring product offering matches customer/market technical and commercial needs while also being attractive commercially for the company
· Voice of Customer regarding product, market, application and commercial needs to internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in our performance and offerings

The Automotive Account Manager is responsible for target build and closure through building sales relationships at Major Automotive Tier One Suppliers. Accountability will center on meeting sales objectives and financial goals. Expectations include the ability to sell at all levels of management and build a Trusted Partner relationship with the customer that ensures we will continue to get the first and last look at all business. The individual must be a leader in directing a cross functional team to drive new business opportunities from concept to close managing the necessary steps including opportunity creation, price quotation, development, testing, Color and Part Approvals.
