Established Plastic Raw Materials Supplier is seeking an experienced sales professional for their Midwestern Region. The company is interested in individuals who are self-starters, and eager to establish and grow new accounts in the industrial and commercial market space which includes prime resins, recycled resins, plastic injection, extrusion, sheet, blow molding and thermoforming.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling raw materials, or past experience selling for a distributor. High income potential is realistic.
Requirements:
· 4 year degree preferred
· 3-5 years sales experience in the plastic/resins industry
· Experience managing a medium to large account revenue mass
· Experience selling polypropylene & polyethylene resin pellets or scrap, but will also consider resin sales experience with other materials – ABS, HIPs
· Experience selling Prime, Wide-spec, and Repro desired
· Work from home, with some travel OK
· Ability to sell, prospect and close in a WFH environment
· Responsible for own prospecting
· Comfortable with cold calling
· Excellent communication and follow up skills

This seasoned professional will be responsible for managing the most important accounts within product range or specified geographic area ensuring revenue growth, developing and maintaining a good working relationship with customers in order to enhance customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Responsibilities:
• Possess very detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of client's business
• Understand the type of company products offered and the value/benefits they bring to the customer
• Identify the client’s decision-makers, and understand strategic business challenges and priorities
• Understand customer applications and identify improvement needs
• Develop, assess and capitalize on new opportunities for the products that you represent
• Identify support capabilities within the company, and make use of those capabilities
• Determine the most crucial needs of key customers and carry them out to ensure that they receive first-class customer care and service
• Develop strategies to manage the account, setting goals and objectives to be accomplished
• Conduct continuous market analysis and research on the dynamics of the account
• Develop appropriate pricing structure for the client
• Conduct account reviews with the credit department
• Interact and communicate with the client on a regular basis to determine changing needs and preferences

• Serve as a liaison between customers and company department.

Qualifications:
• BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Business Management. MBA preferred
• Minimum of 10-15 years of sales experience or relevant working experience in key account management position
• Previous experience selling specialty chemical raw materials into engineered plastics applications is a must
• Ideal candidate must be customer-oriented, patient in order to manage difficult consumers, adept at negotiation and result-focused
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and decreases as time goes by
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
The company is offering a base of $115-145K, plus 40% bonus, and excellent benefits program.
